Talleres de Son Jarocho

In these informative and interactive workshops, participants will explore the rich history of the Son Jarocho musical tradition and its roots in Veracruz, Mexico. Attendees will gain hands-on experience playing the traditional guitar-like instruments and Requinto, learning to write and sing versada in the distinctive Son Jarocho style, and dancing zapateado. All materials are provided. For zapateado, no specialized shoes are required, just comfortable shoes that make noise when stepping on a wooden platform. Beginners and musicians of all levels are welcome to attend.

En estos talleres informativos e interactivos, exploraremos la rica historia del Son Jarocho y sus raíces en Veracruz, México. Los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de tocar instrumentos tradicionales como la jarana y el requinto, aprender a escribir y cantar versada en estilo Son Jarocho y bailar zapateado. Todos los materiales están incluidos. No se necesitan zapatos especiales para el zapateado, solo calzado cómodo que haga ruido sobre la tarima de madera. El taller está abierto tanto a principiantes como a músicos de todos los niveles.
